Hunters may purchase permits for the above dates on a "first-come, first-served" basis.
Permits MUST be purchased by WEDNESDAY at 5 p.m. BEFORE the weekend that you plan to hunt.
Call the office (806.775.2602) to make an appointment to purchase the Permit.
In order to obtain a permit and reserve space, hunters must bring the following items:
- their driver’s license to indicate residency,
- 2011-2012 hunting license complete with stamps (migratory game bird stamp is required to hunt mourning dove,
and an upland game bird stamp is required to hunt quail and turkey),
- and cash, check or credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
Hunters registering by fax must fax copies of their Driver's License and Hunting License with their application.
There will be no refund for permits not subsequently used, and no date substitution due to adverse weather conditions.
Dove and quail bag and possession limits will conform to those established by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
for Kent and Garza County. Absolutely NO baiting will be allowed before or during dove hunts.
NO BATTERY POWERED FEEDERS OR ROAD BAITING ALLOWED during dove, quail or turkey hunts.
Bird dogs are strongly recommended for quail hunts.
