2008 Annual Permits Now Available!!!

2008 annual vehicle permits for entrance into the Sam Wahl Recreational Area at Lake Alan Henry will be available in the Parks and Recreation Office today. Permits can also be purchased at Brenda’s Last Stop outside the entrance gate at Lake Alan Henry. Vehicle permits allow a permit holder to enter the Lake as often as they would like in 2008 without paying additional entrance fees and can be purchased for individuals or families. In addition, annual boat permits are also available for the coming year. Residents of Lubbock receive a discount on the cost of annual permits as do senior citizens who are age 60 or over. Permit applications can be picked up at Parks and Recreation, 1010 9th Street, printed from the website at www.lakealanhenry.org, or mailed upon request by calling 775-2673. The 2008 fee structure for daily use fees and annual permits has the same rates as in previous years. A valid Texas Driver’s License with a Lubbock Zip Code must be presented to determine residency. Local university/college students must show student ID and proof of Lubbock residency (utility bill, etc.). The Parks and Recreation Department accepts cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard, and is located at 1010 9th Street. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Parks Office will be closed December 24-25 and January 1 for the holidays. For more information, contact 775-2673.
